Ron and his team effectively built an advanced system, predicated on usage of novel components, with software and hardware successfully implemented alongside novel components to achieve the ... intended outcome of the system. You can consider this project by and large effectively an R&D stress test — the project was stressful/difficult, Ron was certainly tested, and he passed with flying colors Admittedly this was a very difficult project to manage, communicate requisite information for its implementation, and was a struggle to reach the desired outcome — which was achieved, and beyond what was anticipated. At times it was a nail biting experience as key deadlines approached, others presented doubts in whether the project would succeed — nonetheless — ultimately it did. Those who were skeptical did not want to admit they had doubts after the fact, but were nonetheless shocked upon its success — lacking the ability to do so themselves. Additionally, between juggling its implementation, dealing with (perhaps micro-managing/impeding) oversight, providing updates, and doing so with a calm, patient disposition I also find it very impressive. Aside from the technical accomplishments achieved, which are undoubtedly impressive, I was very impressed with his project management effectiveness. While others perhaps could have achieved the technical outcome, I do not think many could have achieved the same from a project management perspective given the various technical & qualitative challenges coupled with the project. This was a stressful experience for everyone, which on my end was reflected downstream in unnecessary stressors, and likely imposing unnecessary difficulties for Ron & his team (which can be attributed simply to miscommunication, resolved since then, on an alignment with business & R&D objectives — which I would fault my own R&D management experience for). I often say ‘likely’ here, as I would not know due to Husain’s reserved, patient, and thoughtful demeanor — clearly indicative of significant experience in project management. On the technical end, there were many (seemingly) brickwalls hit, which were surmounted. I’m invariably impressed with Ron and his teams 110% success across all required conditions for the project’s success. This was not just an ‘expert’ or ‘experienced’ project undertaken, it was a highly advanced one — which was nearing the territory of academia. I myself was confident he would deliver a working solution, but to the extent of its full success with such small details fine tuned — I was impressed & happily surprised with the 100% + 10% efficacy of the solution delivered. We continue to work with Ron, owing to his substantially impressive work, and the ease of working with him. Ron ultimately took an advanced concept and transformed it into a tangible item.
